We are pleased to announce the Understanding Korea 2020 Contest Call for Essays. Please note the following guidelines. The Center for International Affair at AKS is the home of the Understanding Korea Project, which seeks to correct inaccurate information on and improve contents about Korea in International textbooks.
1. Essay Themes

2. Eligibility: Any person except Koreans living in the Korea
3. Submission: Fill out the application form and submit by e-mail to highspirit@aks.ac.kr.
○ Language: Korean or English
○ Essay Length: About 3 pages in A4 format
※ Download the application format from information bulletins in the Academy of Korean Studies homepage or
Center for International Affairs homepage and submit (only the official format will be accepted).
※ Submitted essays will not be returned, and the CEFIA will obtain the copyright.
※ Applications can be submitted using either Theme 1 or Theme 2 or both.
4. Prizes

Le GIS Asie co-financera des missions de jeunes chercheur·e·s, pour se rendre à des événements scientifiques à l’étranger, au deuxième semestre 2020, à hauteur de 500 € maximum.
Conditions d’éligibilité :
Cet appel s’adresse à tout·e jeune chercheur·e affilié·e à une unité du GIS Asie qui n’a pas déjà bénéficié d’un soutien financier de ce type en 2020. Pour les jeunes chercheur·e·s qui avaient obtenu un financement au premier semestre, si l’événement scientifique est repoussé, le GIS Asie maintient son aide. Si l’événement scientifique est annulé, ils doivent repostuler à cet appel pour bénéficier d’une aide pour un autre voyage.
L’événement doit avoir lieu entre le 1er juillet et le 31 décembre 2020, à l’étranger. Seront privilégiés les conférences et colloques à fort rayonnement international et les jeunes chercheur·e·s bénéficiant du co-financement d’un laboratoire, d’une école doctorale ou d’une université. Le·a jeune chercheur·e devra attester de sa présence effective au colloque ou à la conférence.
Calendrier :
1er juin 2020 : ouverture d’appel
30 juin : date limite de soumission.
Début juillet : Le·a candidat·e, ainsi que son laboratoire d’affiliation, seront informés des résultats de la demande de financement.
Modalités de financement
Le·a bénéficiaire fera établir sa mission par son unité, qui le remboursera sur la base d’un état de frais, conformément aux règles applicables. A son retour, il·elle enverra la copie de ses cartes d’embarquement ou tout autre pièce justifiant de son voyage à subventions@gis-reseau-asie.org
L’aide du GIS sera transférée à l’unité qui l’aura avancée, dans l’année qui suit, de façon groupée avec les aides obtenus par les autres membres de l’unité.
Dossier à constituer :
Le dossier de candidature, intitulé « Aide financière du GIS Asie », sera adressé par mail à subventions@gis-reseau-asie.org. Il comprendra le formulaire ci-contre, ainsi que la proposition de communication ou d’atelier soumise.
