Call for Books and Dissertations – ICAS Book Prize 2017

Call for Books and Dissertations
The ICAS Book Prize (IBP) was established by the International Convention of Asia Scholars (ICAS) in 2004. It aims to create an international focus for academic publications on Asia, thus increasing their worldwide visibility. Since its inception the IBP has grown from an experiment to a full-fledged prize with more than 200 publications submitted by 60 publishers worldwide, and with 100 dissertations competing. In view of the large number of titles submitted a new category of prizes was added in 2013: The Reading Committee Accolades. The accolades give the Reading Committees the opportunity to single out more books and dissertations than just the main winners. Ten percent of all books will thus receive an honourable mention. In 2017 prizes will not only be awarded to publications in English, but also in Chinese, French, German and Korean.

The prizes will be awarded during ICAS 10, which will take place in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 20-23 July 2017. Paper and panel proposals can be submitted until 10 October 2106.
